Homemade Whitening Toothpaste

Check out this Kid-Safe Homemade, Natural toothpaste!

Hey mama! Okay, quick post here…

If you’re dabbling in using products with natural ingredients, you’re probably starting to realize just how many toxins and bad crud is in some of our most used daily products. Toothpaste is no exception. Most tubes are loaded with sweeteners, tryclosan, glycerin, surfactants, and more (read more HERE about the harms of good-ol store bought toothpaste! PS- I love Wellness Mama).

So when I stumbled across a recipe for homemade toothpaste, and realized it called for ingredients I already had sitting in my pantry, I decided to give it a whirl! Check out the simple recipe and instructions below:

  1. Partially melt the coconut oil in a glass container.
  2. Mix in baking soda and essential oil.
  3. Add stevia powder if you want to sweeten. Rather than doing this, I just use Spry natural oral rinse after I brush to make my breath fresh!
  4. Seal the container and start using! Hint- I use a Popsicle stick to put the paste on my toothbrush 🙂
