The Best Homemade Almond Milk

This Homemade Almond Milk is awesome for toddlers and tastes great for adults too!

So, my fam and I are not a big milk drinkers. P drinks goat milk (more on that decision coming soon). But Theron and I lean more toward other alternative milks like almond or coconut… and P loves these options too! So instead of continuing to buy them from the store, I thought it would be fun to try to make some at home. And let me tell ya, SO GOOD!

Homemade is so the way to go! Store-bought does the job… but homemade just plain does it better. And, best part? Too stinkin’ easy!

Check out this recipe for Vanilla Cinnamon Almond milk. So healthy and so so good. And if your toddler is like mine, they’ll love it 🙂


  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 3 1/2 cups filtered water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 dates, pitted
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Soak almonds overnight
  2. Add soaked almonds to blender
  3. Add filtered water
  4. Add Vanilla extract
  5. Add dates
  6. Blend
  7. Pour into nut milk bag (I actually used a cold brew coffee filter, but this nut bag from amazon would be much easier!); make sure bag is in large bowl for draining
  8. Mix in sea salt and cinnamon
  9. Poor into bottle or jar
  10. Serve chilled!
